Alice’s Land

Alice, she went through that looking glass

To find the time and the mind that would make her last

Found Peter Pan with a parliament of pigeons

Trying to decide on a new world religion

‘Oh! This is how the Gods must feel

When they look on their creations beg and steal

Oh my oh my how mama would cry

If she knew her sanity was based on a lie”

And oh my oh my how mama would cry

If she knew her sanity was based on a lie”

Alice, you could tell her that the sun is thriving

And reality is based on positive imbibing

And the scorpion really can’t become a toad

But that only leads where the possum meets the road

They tell their wayward daughters

To bow to prodigal sons

But remember dear friends

We’re the witches, the women

Thieves, wolves on the run

In Alice’s land, where happy is sad

Right is wrong and the things that you feel

You’re told that you don’t

Truth is a lie and heresy is treason

And yes, by god, this is heaven

Even though it’s burning my feet

And yes, by God, this is love

Even though it’s making me weak

And yes, by God, my mind is my own

Even though these clouds have lingered on and on

And yes, by God, my soul is alive

Let me hand it over so you can count ways

In Alice’s land, where happy is sad

Right is wrong and the things that you feel

You’re told that you don’t

Truth is a lie and heresy is treason

And yes, by god, this is heaven

And yes, by god, this is heaven

And oh my oh my how mama would cry

If she knew her sanity was based on a lie”

And oh my oh my how mama would cry

If she knew her sanity was based on a lie”

And oh my oh my how mama would cry

If she knew
